The Baby Sling watch app collects the following sensor data during an active session:
All sensor data is recorded to standard Garmin FIT files stored locally on your watch. FIT files are synced to Garmin Connect via your normal Garmin sync method (Bluetooth to Garmin Connect Mobile, or USB). We have no access to your Garmin Connect account or FIT files unless you explicitly upload them to our web app.
The watch app works completely standalone. No account creation, no registration, and no personal data is required or collected to use the core functionality.
When Live Sync is enabled (opt-in via menu), the watch sends session data every 10 seconds to our cloud service via HTTP. A random 6-character device code is generated per session for pairing. No personal identifiers (name, email, Garmin ID) are transmitted.
The following data is sent during live sync:
Live sync data is processed by Google Cloud Functions and stored in Google Cloud Firestore, hosted in the europe-west3 (Frankfurt, Germany) region. Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Live session documents are automatically deleted after 24 hours by a scheduled cleanup function.
The web app uses Google Sign-In via Firebase Authentication. We store only your Google user ID and display name to associate saved sessions with your account. We do not access your contacts, emails, or any other Google data.
You can optionally upload FIT files from your watch via the web app. FIT files are parsed entirely in your browser — the raw file is never sent to our servers. Only the extracted session metrics and per-second timeseries are stored in Firestore under your user account.
Saved sessions include: date, duration, activity breakdown, baby sleep phases, step count, floor count, squat count, per-second timeseries data, and session metadata. No GPS or location data is collected or stored.

In the web app, click the "Delete All Data" button in the navigation bar to permanently delete all your saved sessions. Alternatively, contact us at the email below to request complete data deletion.
The marketing website uses no cookies or tracking scripts. The web app uses Firebase Authentication which may set essential cookies for session management. No analytics or advertising cookies are used.
This app is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. The app tracks the parent's activity while babywearing — no data about the baby is collected beyond the parent-toggled sleep state.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
